Whether your children attend Hybrid AM or PM, or if they attend Distance Learning, every students’ school day includes class time with teachers (synchronous instruction) and assigned independent work or homework (asynchronous time). For students in Distance Learning and students attending the AM Cohort at school, class time begins at 8:15 AM and extends passed the class time with their teacher. For students attending the PM Cohort at school, it is important that they too wake up early as they have to complete their asynchronous or independent work before their class time begins at noon. Teachers have assignments and / or Menus for students to work on during their independent time. Please help your children schedule their independent work time accordingly so they can get through their assignments. Parents of PM Cohort students, please put them on a schedule that will have them up early every school day and working throughout the morning before their class time.
For all students, any school absence must be reported to our attendance office. For students attending school in-person (AM or PM Cohorts), if your children are absent from school because of illness that includes Covid related symptoms, you must call our office to clear their return before bringing them back to school as we must stay compliant with Covid-19 guidelines and precautions.
Finally, our regularly scheduled SSC meeting is this Thursday at 4:30 PM. In this blog, under the School Site Council tab, you can find meetings dates, approved Agendas & Minutes, and other school governance information. En español: Si sus hijos asisten a la escuela hibrida (en persona) en AM o PM, o si asisten en aprendizaje a distancia, les recuerdo que el día escolar de cada estudiante incluye el tiempo de clase con los maestros y también el trabajo independiente o tarea asignada por los maestros. Para los estudiantes en aprendizaje a distancia y los estudiantes que asisten en el Cohorte de AM, la hora de clase comienza a las 8:15 AM y se extiende más allá del tiempo de clase con el maestro. Sin embargo, los estudiantes que asisten a el Cohorte de PM también deben despertarse temprano para realizar su trabajo independiente antes de que comiencen sus clases al mediodía. Los maestros han preparado listas para que los estudiantes sepan exactamente que tareas deben hacer cada día.
