New Student registration for the new School-year: 2021-2022 is going on right now! If you are new to our school and have not attended a New Parent Informational Meeting with me before, join me today, Wednesday, at 5 PM. Tomorrow’s meeting is for all our current Parents of Valley Vista students. We will be reopening our school for in-person instruction on April 12th. This reopening is not for every one of our students, since roughly 30% of our families have opted to remain in Distance Learning. However, every one of our students and families will be affected as things adjust to accommodate for in-person school. Note also that in-person school will not be in-person everyday and that classes will not be full-day, as we had in the past. It is important that you attend this meeting to get all the details. 3. Picture Day went very well last week. If you missed it though, there is one more opportunity this Tuesday, March 23rd. Mark your calendars for this Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Listen for the reminder message with more details on the Covid-19 safety procedures for bringing your child to campus that will go out Monday afternoon.
4. New Student Registration for the New 2021-2022 School-year, which begins in July, is happening now. I am hosting a New Parent Informational Meeting for new parents on Wednesday, the 24th at 5 PM. If you joined our school throughout this school year, you are encouraged to attend and hear about our school’s Dual Language Immersion program, our mission, vision, and goals. 5. Parent-Teacher Conferences and Minimum days of instruction with teachers are going on now. This means students have class with teachers from 8:15 to 10:30 and then, they are working independently on their assignments after 10:30 AM every day this week. Spring Break will begin next Monday, from March 29th to April 2nd. Classes will resume on Aril 5th.
6. We have a District start date for the reopening of our schools! The opening date is Monday, April 12th. This reopening, for the last quarter of this school-year, will be a Hybrid Model of schooling. 5) Las conferencias de padres y maestros se están llevando a cabo esta semana. Esto significa que estos días son días mínimos de instrucción con los maestros y que los estudiantes estarán trabajando en sus tareas independientemente después de las 10:30 a.m. todos los días de esta semana. Picture Day is this week!!! Each grade level is scheduled for a specific time slot to keep people appropriately separated throughout the event. Every student will be screened for symptoms before being admitted for their picture. Parents will have to wait outside. Everyone on site, including our parking lot, must wear a mask and maintain physical distance for others. More details on the procedures to come but check out the schedule.
4. Parent-Teacher Conferences begin this Thursday. That means minimum day classes with teachers also begin Thursday and will continue through 3/26. Please be sure to make arrangements, and set & attend your conference appointment.

3) El Día de Fotos será esta semana: miércoles 17 de marzo. Hemos programado horarios para cada nivel de grado con el fin de mantener a todos adecuadamente separadas durante el evento. Todos los niños serán evaluados para detectar síntomas antes de ser admitidos para su foto. Los padres tendrán que esperar afuera. Se enviará más detalles con el recordatorio el martes por la tarde. Pero guarden la fecha para traer a sus hijos el miércoles – horario incluido.
