This coming week is our school’s Literacy Week. The point of Literacy Week is to celebrate reading and all the possibilities that come from becoming a great reader. I will be communicating with students with daily morning video messages and we will share special read aloud books each day to make the point that there are treasures in books and that books and stories make us think, bring us together, and open up the world to us.
Parents, please mark your calendars! Principals’ Coffee Chat this Thursday March 4th at 5PM. Save the date. We will discuss details from both Distance Learning and the Hybrid Model for in-person schooling, which we hope to be launching soon. The link for this coffee chat will be posted here on Wednesday. En español ~ Ya saben cómo nos encanta concentrarnos en temas importantes una semana a la vez. Esta semana es la Semana Celebrando la Literatura en nuestra escuela. El objetivo de la semana es celebrar el acto de leer libros y todas las posibilidades que se derivan como resultado de convertirse en un gran lector. Me comunicaré con los estudiantes con un mensaje virtual cada mañana y compartiremos un cuento en voz alta cada día señalando que hay grandes tesoros en los libros y que podemos, y debemos, explorarlos.
Padres de familia, los invito a una charla y un cafecito conmigo este jueves 4 de marzo a las 5:00 P. M. El tema será los detalles sobre el modelo Híbrido.
