Last Week of Q2 and Winter Spirit Week

We have arrived at our last week of school for the 2nd Quarter of this schoolyear. Let’s finish this week strong Vikings! Lets get the best out of each school day, even if it is still happening across a computer screen. You are still learning, improving on your reading, developing your writing, and getting better at attacking mathematical problems!

Our Student Council has put together a Spirit Week menu for us to follow and have a little fun this last week of school. Monday is Pajama Day – still, please don’t just roll out of bed. Remember there is something that happens to us, in our brain, when we get out of bed, have something healthy to eat, brush our teeth, and get ready for to learn. However, learning in your PJs is okay this Monday. Tuesday is stuffed animal day: bring your favorite teddy, puppy or unicorn to sit with you during class. Wednesday is Winter Activities day. What are some different things people do during Winter? Depending on where people live and what weather they have to deal with, people have to adjust. So, we stand to learn quite a bit, especially if we’ve only lived in Southern California. Thursday, time to share Winter Holidays or Family Traditions. Again, an opportunity to learn from each other and each other’s families. Interesting to learn about different religions, different festivals, and ways to celebrate as time goes on. Friday will be Wear something warm to class day. Cozy learning today.

Also, I will share 2 Principal read alouds this week for you to share with your family. One is English and a totally different one in Spanish – these will be share with via Dojo & our school blog on Wednesday.
