We need three (3) new parents to join our School Site Council (SSC) for this school year. We have two parents rolling over to their 2nd year on SSC but every year we need to add first-year parents. The SSC is made up of equal parts teachers and parents and is the main decision-making council for our school. We will support & teach you everything you need to know, and we will meet only once per month and virtually of course. If you are interested, please contact Lety at our front desk early this week.
We will have our first virtual Principal’s Coffee next week on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 5:30 PM. I will talk more about our parent representatives and other committees then. Please mark your calendars, I will follow up next week with the link to join the virtual coffee.
Teachers have begun the beginning of year assessments, but many will continue this week. Hang in there with us, this is taking a bit longer than anticipated but it is moving along.
VAPA classes (Art, Theater, Dance/PE, and Science) will happen this week so be on the lookout for those. Your child should get 2 of those blocks this week.
3rd Grade will be hosting their Curriculum Night for parents this Thursday, Sept. 17 at 5 PM. You will be able to join on Teams through your child’s account. Expect an invite early in the week.

Necesitamos tres (3) padres de familia como representantes en nuestro Consejo Escolar (SSC) para este nuevo año. Tenemos dos padres que pasanán a su segundo año en el Consejo, pero todos los años necesitamos agregar padres de primer año a este importante Comité. El SSC está formado del mismo número se maestros y padres de familia unidos para tomar decisiones conmigo, dirigiendo nuestra escuela. Tendremos nuestro primer café virtual con la directora, la próxima semana, el martes 22 de septiembre a las 5:30 PM. Marquen sus calendarios, haré un seguimiento la semana que viene con el enlace para unirse a este café virtual.
Los maestros han comenzado las evaluaciones del comienzo del año, pero les aviso que eso continuará esta semana ya que es bastante tardado.
Las clases de VAPA con nuestros maestros de arte, ciencias, teatro, y danza, se llevarán a cabo esta semana, así que esté atento a ellas.
Los maestros del 3er grado tendrán su Noche de Currículo para padres este jueves 17 de septiembre a las 5 PM. Podrá unirse a esta junto por medio de TEAMS a través de la cuenta de sus hijos. Espere una invitación a principios de semana.
