If you have only returning students from 2nd to 6th grade, they already know their username, password and how to log-on to our system. This may not be very important to you.
However, if your child is new to our school, in Kinder or any other grade, or your child has forgotten his or her username & password, this information is very important.
A robo-call will go out at 2PM today. Please note 3 important items.
1) is your child’s first & last name, and grade, correct? If not, please call us at 619-479-7171
2) You will hear your child’s assigned homeroom teacher’s name. Remember that all DLI students have two classroom teachers, an English one and a Spanish one. However, it is through the homeroom teacher that you will receive your initial information. So, that is what you need to know for now.
3) Please be ready to write down your child’s ID# . Your child’s ID # is your child’s username in our system therefore it is essential for logging-on to Microsoft TEAMs from our District’s website.
In this blog, under the School Messenger page, you will find the exact message sent out. Under this post, you can click on to see several documents. The first one has details on how we configure your child’s password. There you will see how your child’s ID#, initials, and birth date are used to configure their individual passwords.
If you have one of our loaner laptops, please charge it over night and turn it on early in the morning as it it will most likely take a long while to wake-up.
Also, linked below please find 3 flyers sent to you earlier by our District with trainings designed for parents on digital literacy. Some dates have past but there are future dates there that you can take advantage of.

* Tomen en cuenta, que para los estudiantes que regresan a nuestra escuela de 2nd a 6to grado, ellos ya conocen su nombre de usuario y contraseña y cómo iniciar sesiones en nuestro sistema. Por lo tanto, es posible que no tenga que preocuparse mucho por esta información.
Pero, si su hijo/a es un nuevo alumno en nuestra escuela o ha olvidado su nombre de usuario y contraseña, esta información es muy importante.
Hoy envié una llamada automática con detalles importantes. Al escuchar ese mensaje, tome nota de 3 cosas.
1) escuchen primeramente para asegurar que tenemos el nombre, apellido y grado de su hijo/a correcto.
2) Segundo, escuchará el nombre del maestro de aula asignado a su hijo/a. Recuerde que todos los alumnos de doble inmersión tienen dos maestros, uno de inglés y otro de español. Sin embargo, es a través del maestro de aula que recibirá su información inicial.
3) Por favor anote el número de identificación de su hijo/a. El número de identificación es el nombre de usuario de su hijo/a en nuestro sistema. Ese número es esencial para iniciar sesión en Microsoft TEAMs desde el sitio web de nuestro distrito.
Incluyo enlaces con detalles sobre cómo construimos las contraseñas para cada alumno. Allí verá cómo se utilizan el número de identificación, las iniciales y la fecha de nacimiento de los alumnos para construir las contraseñas individuales.
Si tiene una de nuestras computadoras portátiles, cárguela durante la noche y enciéndala temprano porque lo más probable es que tarde mucho en despertarse.
Y por último, incluyo tambien enlaces para 3 volantes que nuestro Distrito les envió anteriormente. Estos tienen información para asistir capacitaciones diseñadas para padres sobre alfabetización digital. Aún hay fechas por venir en ellos que ustedes podrían aprovechar.
